There's no easy way to describe what P&N Tech does. “We are one of the best-kept IT secrets in Baton Rouge,” says Director of Engineering Geoff Smarada. “There’s a whole lot to what we do.”
While it’s difficult to describe everything that P&N Tech does, what they do not do is implement technology for technology’s sake. “A lot of technology firms aren’t going to be concerned with your line of credit, managing cash flow or your regulatory and compliance issues,” notes COO Michael Richmond. “We are business consultants looking at business matters, but we solve a lot of these issues with highly technical solutions.”
In the case of a local distribution company, P&N Tech was able to implement a wireless solution to facilitate the use of voice picking software to help streamline the company’s operations and optimize warehouse operations.
“We approach every client engagement with the intent to solve a business problem,” says Smarada. “This company needed a way to enable their drivers and warehouse personnel to track inventory and make pickups faster and more precise. We were able to leverage wireless technology in a way that would enhance their operations.”
