You'd be hard-pressed finding any company more dedicated to delivering your business’s message than Launch Media. Since opening its doors in 2005, Launch Media, a digital multimedia production company headquartered in Baton Rouge, has been helping businesses communicate their messages through customized video, multimedia presentations and experiential event production. While Launch Media’s award-winning work is creative and engaging, President John E. Jackson says, the company’s role goes much further.
“We’re not here just to create a video that looks cool on screen—it’s much deeper than that,” he says. “Our clients come to us with a unique communication objective, so it’s essential that we understand their goal to help them achieve it.” Launch Media does this by developing customized solutions for training, recruiting, business development and corporate communications.
The company works with a range of clients, including large companies that communicate across multiple locations or divisions around the planet. It often works with large chemical, oil and gas, and technology companies, but it works with small businesses and nonprofits as well. Jackson notes, “We want to be the go-to company for digital multimedia production services in the Gulf South.”
Launch Media’s dedication to growing businesses in the region is illustrated by its creation of the Creative Bloc, a collaborative workspace for visual media professionals. Located in the Downtown Development District and anchored by Launch Media, the Creative Bloc will enable professionals to leverage each other’s talents, Jackson believes.
“With the Creative Bloc, more people can contribute to the conversation—creativity doesn’t end at your four walls,” he says. “They may not be on your staff, but you learn from and support one another. More collaboration improves our work and the return on our clients’ projects.”
That entrepreneurial spirit permeates Launch Media’s culture. “We approach each project with an understanding of how our client’s unique objectives marry with effective multimedia execution. We encourage each other to be independent thinkers, which keeps our content fresh. We focus on our objectives and providing value to clients,” Jackson says. “And we have fun. You’ve got to have a work experience that allows you to grow professionally and personally.”
One way Launch Media measures its success is by repeat clients. “Client relationships are so valuable to us. We’re not about closing the deal and moving on to the next client. We do everything we can to strengthen and continue those relationships,” Jackson says. “The fact that our clients come back is the best feedback we get.”
