ATTORNEY AMANDA CLARK has worked with the firm Forrester & Clark in some capacity since graduating from law school at Louisiana State University in 1996. She learned the ropes under her mentor and predecessor, who went on to become a federal judge in Baton Rouge. In 2013, Clark assumed a partnership with fellow attorney David Forrester and moved into a business ownership role at the firm.

“I’ve worked with David since coming out of law school,” she says. “He has a wealth of knowledge and talents and has been very generous with his guidance to help me move into this new role.”

Forrester is experienced in insurance fraud and arson and maintains a general litigation practice, including personal injury. Clark’s focus is on meeting the needs of business and insurance clients in the areas of negligence, premises liability, contract disputes and workers’ compensation. She has notable experience in tribal and constitutional law, as well as employment discrimination.

Their combined experience allows the firm to serve a diverse client base, ranging from small startups and medium-sized businesses to government entities and major corporations. In every endeavor, this Baton Rouge-based firm brings a desire to cultivate genuine client relationships.

Clark credits her past experiences with teaching her that authenticity in dealing with others, both clients and opponents, is the most effective approach. “I have learned that I can always accomplish more with less time and energy when I stick to my lane,” she says.

As a small business owner herself, Clark understands the challenges that go along with running a business. “Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy, I think,” she says. “The attention we can give to our business clients distinguishes us from others, because we can relate and we can identify with them. We can be a little bit more nimble in addressing their concerns.”

Providing an individualized approach for every client and believing that people are at the heart of the law, Forrester & Clark is known for returning calls promptly and offering service with a personal touch. They currently serve clients in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas, including New Orleans, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Alexandria, Monroe, Shreveport, Houma, Marksville and Covington.

“We always try and get to know our clients, develop a relationship,” says Clark. “Most of our clients know they can get their needs met by speaking with any member of our firm. We gear our services to bring clients the best results by getting to know them, what their needs and their motivations and goals are.”

Being a small, specialized litigation firm gives Forrester & Clark the luxury of being able to provide all aspects of legal representation. They can even consult in terms of policy and human resources issues for small businesses. The firm has also received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV Preeminent rating based on a peer review process that reflects the confidential opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary.

Clark grew up in Natchitoches and says she was raised to have a positive attitude and never give up. These qualities have served her and her clients well over the years. “Running a law practice is challenging but gratifying,” she says. “It helps to have great people working with you and supporting you.”
